If twin twisted pair cable is used, then
use terminal connections B and C for
one pair, and terminals A and D for the
other.
When using a
shielded cable, only terminal D should be connected to the screen, and only
at this end of the cable.
It is usually sufficient for the screen
to be connected to terminal D, as shown in the wiring diagram, to ground
50-60 Hz interference. If high frequency interference is likely, it is highly
recommended that the screen is permanently connected to chassis instead.
