Replacing PD 660 with PD 661

When a PD 660 Simple P-NET Interface module in an existing installation (mounted in a BM 002 base module) is being replaced with a PD 661, you must either:

1. Replace the BM 002 Base Module with a BM 010 Base Module (recommended), or

2. Remove the code pins in the BM 002 connector (see drawing below) to allow the PD 661 to be mounted in the BM 002. This will ensure that the functionality will be the same as it was with PD 660/BM 002. The drawback of this option is, that any of the PD 600-Series modules can now be mounted in the BM 002 base module. If a wrong module type is mounted, there is a risk that the communication on the P-NET fieldbus may be disturbed. Please be aware of the risk if you choose this option.
