Datalogger program for PD 60x DPI

Specific Features

PROCES-DATA offers the DPI software to perform the complete Data Acquisition process. Each Datalogger makes available up to 100 DataCollect channels, which, depending on the number of channels used and the configured frequency of log samples, enables many days, weeks or even months of unattended data to be stored.

The Datalogger stores logged data in Flash memory, the main benefit of using this method being that a PC does not need to be connected and switched on at all times. The use of a Datalogger provides a high-level of security for the data that is logged. Data stored in the Datalogger cannot be manually deleted or altered, and only the oldest data will start to be overwritten should the memory ever become full.

DataCollect Channel

A DataCollect Channel provides the ability to independently configure the means of logging unrelated measurement variables, with the additional benefits of conditional data processing and the storage of logged data, without the permanent requirement for a PC to be operational. The final destination of all data collected by the DataCollect Channel is a PC hard disc. The PROCES-DATA Data-Buffer Engine (PDDE), is used to obtain, store and manage the data collected by the DataCollect Channel, held as an expanding record having a structure as shown below.

Flexible Logging Method

Data Collect channels provide a wide collection of logging options ranging from the simple regular sample rate, through to conditional logging based on change of value and/or the state of another variable, in order to reduce the amount of logged data.

Upload of collected data

Once Visual VIGO is launched, any new data that has not already been stored on the PC will be automatically extracted from the DPI and saved on the PC hard disc. As long as Visual VIGO is run at least once before the newest unsaved data held on the DPI starts to overwrite the oldest unsaved data, then all stored logged data on the PC will always be complete.
